My sole new years resolution is simple.

No more Potters whiskey. It's nasty crap. I don't drink it. I like...good booze. But I was out. And it's newyears. And I had a bottle from when i was trying to learn how to blow fire. *no, I didn't hurt myself...badly. I lost a little arm/hand hair...normal for me.*

Drank a couple of shots in one go...Ugh. Disgusting.



So no more of that shit.


I might also try to take more pictures...and more importantly, edit and upload more. I have...rough estimate, mind, a hundred pictures I've taken at one time or other that I like and want to play with. I just don't ...do it. I'm to leery about it. I never get what I WANT out of the images post shot....even though the framings right, the light, whatever. I can never get ..one aspect or other right. It's getting old. I should go out and shoot twenty exposures a day, every day. practice. Work at it.

I also want to set up a cheep homebrew darkroom and get a nikon film camera. I really, really want to mess around with some basic black and white work....see where It goes from there. But I don't want to have someone else develop my prints. That gets rid of the point, for me. So...if i can't do the darkroom, I won't get the camera. That's it.

though really I have a book, and walkthroughs...and i can build 99% of it out of crap arround the house, minus the crap you actually interact with the film with...meh.


So my sister, brother in law, and nephew are in town for a few days...odd experience. haven't seen them in what feels like...years. Duno how long really it's been. years, I think.

Also found my old monitor k240 headphones. There fucking amazing...Professional quality studio headphones. They have better sound than most speakers I've owned. needed to patch the cable...no big. Easy shit. I'm enjoying music again...Though I had to find a pair of cheep speakers to use as a quasi-pre amp for them...my laptop soundcard doesn't put out enough juice...neither do the speakers, really. About a quarter of the way from there capability the speakers crap out. Sucks. Ahwell. Still nice. And I don't NEED them to hear the headphones outside the house...but it's handy sometimes.
